If you are unhappy with the appearance of your teeth, you may be considering whether tooth whitening or porcelain veneers can make your smile look the way you want it to, or if a combination of both veneers and whitening would be beneficial.

Tooth Whitening for Whiter Teeth

If your main concern is a stained, yellow or dingy tooth appearance, than tooth whitening or porcelain veneers can both be great options. With Zoom tooth whitening, our experienced cosmetic dentist can whiten your teeth in a single dental appointment, and your results should last for years.

Porcelain Veneers for Whiter Teeth

If you choose porcelain veneers to whiten your teeth, you can choose the color of porcelain veneer you want. An advantage of veneers is that the veneers will stay the same color for several years, and possibly a decade or longer. Porcelain veneers are highly stain resistant.

Porcelain veneers and teeth whitening may be used in combination, which you may want to do if you are having 2 to 4 veneers but want your non-veneered teeth to be whiter as well. But you must have your teeth whitened first, and then the veneers will be matched to the color of your whiter teeth. Porcelain veneers do not respond to teeth whitening bleach.
